The incident was captured in a viral TikTok video, showing a young girl of school-going age packing new exercise books and notebooks into a rubber bucket.
It turns out that the girl had been selling on the street when a young man approached her and purchased all her yam tubers. Moved by compassion, he decided to offer her financial assistance so she could attend school.
During their conversation, the young man discovered that both the girl and her younger brother had dropped out of school due to unpaid fees amounting to GH¢60.
In response, he generously handed the young girl a GH¢200 note to cover their school fees and other expenses. Furthermore, he assured her that she could reach out to him for any further educational support she might need.
The heartwarming 34-second video, accompanied by the caption “Humanity is all that matters to me,” has received a lot traction from netizens.
