Instead of celebrating alone, she visited her late father’s graveside to honour him on her graduation day, showing that his absence didn’t diminish his place in her achievement.
The UNILAG graduate explained that since her father couldn’t attend her convocation, she decided to go to him instead. She accompanied her post with a well-known saying: “If Mohammed doesn’t go to the mountain, the mountain will go to Mohammed❤️”.
The touching moment quickly gained attention online, drawing widespread reactions and heartfelt comments from social media users. Many praised her for her thoughtfulness, with @IbimBoyle noting, “Not him thinking he can escape coming to your big day. Congratulations fine girl”.
@iam_milkmoney shared, “So thoughtful… this triggered a lot of emotions in me Congratulations 🎈🍾 omg. I’m sure his flatmates must be jealous of him right now”. Others offered condolences and prayers, with @abdraphiu writing, “May Almighty Allah forgive all his shortcomings and grant him Jannah”.
