A Law Student who sued his landlord in 2020 over claims that his flat took the appearance of a construction site has won his case.

The University of East Anglia (UEA), UK, Law Student, Jack Simm, who used his textbooks for the case has gone home victoriously.
In his case, the 19-year-old undergraduate explained that the hostel had no heating or Wi-Fi with dust covering everywhere as builders still worked on the place.
“In my room the floor was covered in dust and there were loud noises from people hammering away,” Jack said.
He added that he left the place and stopped paying rent after the landlord failed to rectify the issues brought to his table – that was when he started building the case.
According to a report by Wales Online, the 19-year-old student used his revision textbooks to fight the case that started in his first year and was won in his second year.
In a final ruling that took place on November 2, Newcastle County Court ordered that the law student be refunded £859 (N466k) to cover his first month’s rent.
