JAMB has expressed concern that only 12.6% of candidates have printed their notification slips for the 2025 UTME mop-up exam scheduled for June 28, urging affected candidates to do so immediately or risk missing the opportunity.

Ahead of the 2025 mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scheduled for Saturday, June 28, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has raised concerns over low participation.
According to JAMB, only 12,442 out of 98,232 registered candidates have printed their exam notification slips — representing just 12.6% of expected participants.
JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, issued a statement on Friday urging candidates — especially those who missed the main UTME — to promptly print their slips.
“This is a rare opportunity for them to take part in this year’s examination,” he stated.
JAMB’s Official Statement
“The 2025 UTME mop-up examination is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025. We urge all affected candidates to immediately reprint their slips to avoid missing this opportunity,” Benjamin emphasized.
He added that the board is closely monitoring printing activity to gauge likely attendance and has deployed both personnel and logistics nationwide to ensure smooth conduct of the exam.
“Failure to print your slip means forfeiting your opportunity to sit for the examination,” he warned.
