A man named Ehindero Dayo Daniel was declared missing after allegedly taking a loan with his certificates as collateral and disappearing since 2021, prompting a public search and mixed reactions online.

A man identified as Ehindero Dayo Daniel has reportedly gone missing after allegedly taking a loan and leaving his academic certificates as collateral. The situation was brought to public attention by a Facebook user, Austin Okoye, who raised concerns about his whereabouts
According to Okoye, the incident dates back to 2021 when Daniel borrowed money and submitted his university certificate as security. Since then, he has reportedly cut off communication, and all attempts to reach him have been unsuccessful. This has led to a public appeal for anyone with useful information to help locate him.
To support his claim, Okoye shared images of the man’s university certificate and his NYSC discharge certificate in an online group, hoping it would help identify and trace him.
The post sparked mixed reactions from social media users. While some criticized the borrower’s actions, others questioned the lender’s decision to accept such documents as collateral and wondered why the issue was only being raised years later. Some also pointed out that withholding important documents like certificates could make it harder for the debtor to find work and repay the loan.
As the situation continues to generate debate online, the man’s whereabouts remain unknown, and the appeal for information is still ongoing.
