Recently, it went viral online the news of twins who graduated in grand style from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.


A few days after the convocation ceremony, the twins shed light on their achievements and other matters in an interview.
While speaking about the encounters in school, Taiwo Oluyale and Kehinde Oluyale who recently graduated with first-class from FUTA have said that it is better to struggle for 5 years than the rest of one’s life.
Taiwo Oluyale, one of the twins said was excited both of them graduated with first-class from the same Department of Building Technology, Federal University of Technology, Akure.
The other sister, Kehinde said it is a dream of every student to graduate with first-class though Taiwo harped on the need for self-determination and hard work to achieve first class.
Taiwo recalled how she was absent for 2 months during her 400-level days and made 4.9 out of 5.0 CGPA while Kehinde got a perfect 5.0 CGPA.
Kehinde had remarked that the knowledge they acquired during their National Diploma (ND) program helped them a lot in FUTA as the active the school as Direct Entry students making them have an edge over UTME students of the university.
They have however stated that the recent feat doesn’t mean they would stop but rather they had expressed their dream to further our academic.
Taiwo encouraged undergraduate students in FUTA and other tertiary not to join a bad group and avoid distractions during their academic career.
Dr. Olufunke Akinola, the Head of the Department of the Building Technology department had said the Department was very proud of them as she acknowledged their academic brilliance. She described the twins as hard-working, diligent and exceptional students. Dr. Akinola said they always pay attention to all necessary details during the practical class.
