Professor Oluwakemi Christiana Abikoye holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a Second Class Upper Division from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria.


She obtained her Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Ibadan in 2006 and her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from the University of Ilorin in 2013.
Professor Abikoye has served as Head of Department in the Department of Computer Science and as Deputy Director (Research) at the Centre for Research, Development and In-house Training (CREDIT), University of Ilorin. Her research interests encompass computer/communication network (cyber) security, cryptography, biometrics, artificial intelligence, and human-computer interactions.
She has authored over 100 publications in reputable outlets, including journals, edited conference proceedings, and book chapters. Professor Abikoye has successfully supervised several Master’s dissertations and PhD theses.
Notably, she was part of the team that secured the Artificial Intelligence for Females in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (AI4FS) Grant, sponsored by the Royal Academy of Engineering (Higher Education Partnerships in Sub-Saharan Africa (HEP SSA) 22/24).
Professor Abikoye, a proud alumna of the University of Ilorin, is a member of numerous professional bodies, both within and outside Nigeria. She currently serves as the coordinator of the Nigerian Women in Information Technology (NIWIIT), Kwara State Chapter.
