Na’Allah Steps Down as UniAbuja VC, Hands Over to Maikudi

Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah has officially handed over the leadership of the University of Abuja to acting Vice Chancellor Professor Aisha Maikudi on Monday.

Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah handed over the leadership of the University of Abuja to acting Vice Chancellor Professor Aisha Maikudi on Monday.

Na’Allah became the vice chancellor of the university on July 1, 2019.

Before his tenure at UniAbuja, he served as the vice chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete in Kwara State.

He graduated from the University of Ilorin in 1988 and received his Master’s degree there in 1992. He then earned his PhD in comparative literature from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada.

In his handover speech, Na’Allah thanked the university community for the opportunity to serve.

“I am grateful for the strong team that worked with me, and I am handing over to the same great team. I pray that the university continues to achieve great things. I will support the university in any way I can.

“I will be on sabbatical, so I am technically still part of the university during this time.”
