A Nigerian corps member deployed to Kebbi State shared a video of the dilapidated accommodation provided by her PPA, sparking widespread reactions and discussions on the poor living conditions faced by NYSC members in remote areas.

A Nigerian corps member has sparked reactions online after sharing a video of the rundown accommodation provided by her Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) in Kebbi State.
The young lady, who was deployed to the northern state for her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program, revealed that she was horrified upon seeing the condition of the apartment given to her. The footage showed a house with a severely damaged ceiling, worn-out walls, and an overall dilapidated appearance.
Expressing her distress, the corper admitted that she broke down in tears at the sight of the accommodation. In her words, “Room and parlour self-contained. I burst cry on first sight.”
Her post quickly went viral, attracting a mix of sympathy and humor from social media users. Some commenters joked about dodging their own deployments to Kebbi, while others advised her to return home instead of enduring such living conditions. A user, @Nanarh Firdausi, noted that while rural areas in Kebbi State might be underdeveloped, the state capital offers better living conditions.
The video continues to spark discussions about the living conditions of corps members in remote areas, with many questioning the level of support provided by the NYSC and the government for their welfare.
