Isreal Adekunle Ajayi, who scored seven distinctions in WAEC, graduated with a 4.83 first-class degree in Law from the University of Ilorin, setting a faculty record while excelling in leadership roles, research, and competitions.

Isreal Adekunle Ajayi, a brilliant Nigerian student who earned seven distinctions in his WAEC exams, has continued his academic success by graduating with a first-class degree in Law, achieving an impressive 4.83 CGPA from the University of Ilorin.

Sharing his journey on LinkedIn, Adekunle revealed that his CGPA is the highest ever recorded in the university’s Faculty of Law. Reflecting on his experience, he described it as a journey marked by perseverance, turning doubts into determination and challenges into opportunities.

Beyond academics, Adekunle embraced leadership roles, serving as the Director of Litigations at Equity Chambers, a member of the Legal Aid Clinic, and an editor for The Jurist Journal. He also reached the final stage of the SAN Scholarship interviews, engaging with five Senior Advocates of Nigeria.

His exceptional performance earned him multiple awards, including the Hon. Justice Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi Prize and the University of Ilorin Alumni Association Exceptional Graduate Award. Throughout his six-year law program, Adekunle co-authored over 10 journal publications and excelled in essay and moot competitions.

Expressing gratitude, he acknowledged his mentor, Dr. Ilias Kazeem, and the support of his lecturers and others who contributed to his success. Adekunle’s story celebrates the power of hard work, dreams, and determination in turning the impossible into reality.
