Janet did not stop there, she enrolled for another Doctor of Medicine Degree at the Allsaints University College of Medicine where she bagged another Medicine Degree.

Celebrating her feat on Linked, Janet noted that it took her 12 years of her life to get to this point.

In her words:

My name is Dr. Janet Adebukola Omole, the daughter of Mr and Mrs Omole( a civil servant and a teacher respectively) who lived most of her life in the outskirt of Lagos, Nigeria ( Ikorodu to be precise).

It took me 12 years to get to this point in my life, I will definitely hold on to all lessons learned thus far and also be an extension of blessing to humanity.

To family and friends , you played a pivotal role in this journey and I am indeed grateful. Once again , Mum and Dad this is for you! I am happy to have made you both proud.

You can officially call me Doctor Omole. I started my job as a medical doctor in the United States. God did it 🎊🎊🎊❤️.

Some LinkedIn Users reactions:

Akin wrote: Thank you Janet Omole for this story and testimony. I am happy for you. The punch point of your narration for me, was the mentioning of the name “Ikorodu”. I presently stay in Ikorodu and I have heard and see people react to me negatively once I mention where I live in Lagos. Infact I lost a job opportunity just because I live in Ikorodu, the MD of the company said to me that my choosing to live in Ikorodu is a bad decision making, how can someone so resourceful as you, choose to live in Ikorodu” It pained me and I made him a promise in my heart… I am happy for you Janet Omole and it’s truly

Biyi wrote: Congratulations Dr. Omole and I’m truly happy for you . In the same breath I’m also truly sad for my country Nigeria as their gain equates almost always to our loss as a country in dire need of trained medical personnel. No sane person will blame you as the blame must go to our visionless leadership.

Instead of creating an enabling environment where everyone can become their best they have turned this country into a giant nursery for breeding the best minds in the world.

All the same good luck to you in your sojourn and I do sincerely pray that one day you will still look back to give back to this “ nursery “ despite it’s tragic inconsistencies.

Osa wrote: Congratulations dear. Dreams coupled with hard work, resilience and God’s grace. Well done and all the best for your future.

Isaac wrote: Congratulations to you and to your parents It is big sacrifice to get you to this level . They will leave to enjoy the fruit of the labor on U CONGRATULATIONS.
