A concerned Nigerian lady has issued a warning on social media about adrug disguised as candy, allegedly infiltrating Nigerian schools, urging parents to educate children on the dangers of accepting candy from unknown sources and to remain vigilant.

A Nigerian woman has issued a public warning about a harmful substance disguised as candy allegedly infiltrating schools across the country. Taking to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), she cautioned parents to be vigilant and educate their children about the dangers of accepting candy from unknown sources.
The drug, referred to as “strawberry quick” or “strawberry meth,” is said to mimic the appearance of candy and comes in flavors such as chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape, and orange.
Expressing her concerns, she wrote:
“I hear it has found its way into Nigerian schools. I hope it’s a hoax, but it’s better to be safe than sorry. Please instruct your children not to accept candy from strangers or even friends who might unknowingly have received it. Encourage them to report any suspicious items to a teacher or principal. Let’s prevent any tragedies from occurring.”
She emphasized the importance of teaching children to remain cautious and to report anything unusual to trusted adults.

The warning quickly gained traction, sparking widespread concern among social media users. Many expressed shock and shared their thoughts in the comment section:
• @petite__kara: “What is this again? This country isn’t safe at all.”
• @Claudia76743091: “If not for this post, I honestly would’ve thought it’s just candy.”
• @Sammie_the_wave: “Even the shape and size look suspicious. Everyone needs to stay careful.”
