The Vice-Chancellor of the University Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, Fellow; UNESCO, ACLS, FIIFP, stated this on Thursday 6th February 2025 while speaking at 2024/2025 Matriculation Ceremony of newly admitted students into the University which took place at the Convocation Square of the school.
Professor Sa’adatu while congratulating the newly matriculated students for securing admission into the University despite the competitive processes described the occasion as very unique because it is the first she is Presiding over in her capacity as the substantive Vice-Chancellor and also because it is holding in the holy month of Ramadan, the month of sacrifice, love and mercy.

She urged all, especially those admitted as Pioneers into the 10 new programs to work hard to justify the confidence reposed on the University by both the NUC and JAMB.
Professor Sa’adatu also charged the students that as they have been put under the Matriculation oath and as they gain access to academic, social, and recreational facilities in the University not to engage in violence or wanton destruction of any University property. She admonished them to acquaint themselves with the policy document of the Students Affairs Division which spells out how they should engage themselves in the University lawfully.
The Vice-Chancellor further added that the students should be abreast with University’s Examination Regulations as approved by the Senate of the University to be well informed about the “dos” and “don’ts” of their academic sojourn. These regulations require that they desist Unethical Conducts, such as indecent dressing, sexual harassment, Examination malpractice, fraudulent solicitation of marks and above all CULTISM!
The highlight of the event was the administration of the Matriculation oath on the newly matriculated students by the Registrar of the University, Dr. Bala Isyaka Ahmed II.
