Cursory: Atiga Faith emerged as the 1st runner-up in the prestigious 774 Young Nigerian Scientists Presidential Award (YONSPA). She received a cash prize and a scholarship from secondary school to a PhD level.


A remarkable achievement has been celebrated at Adedokun International Schools in Dalemo, Ogun State, as one of its students, Atiga Faith, emerged as the 1st runner-up in the prestigious 774 Young Nigerian Scientists Presidential Award (YONSPA).
This annual competition, hosted by Nigeria’s Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, draws participants from secondary schools across the nation’s 774 Local Government Areas.
For her outstanding performance, Faith was awarded a cash prize of N690,000 and a scholarship that will support her academic journey from secondary school all the way to a doctorate (PhD) level.
This remarkable feat highlights Faith’s dedication, intellect, and passion for scientific exploration, setting her apart as a shining example of excellence in the field.
In a ceremony organized by the school’s management to celebrate Faith’s achievement, the Director of Adedokun International Schools, Sanni Adedokun, emphasized the importance of passion, dedication, and perseverance in achieving success in educational pursuits.
He commended Faith for her remarkable accomplishment and encouraged all students to follow her example by striving for excellence in their academic endeavors.
In his words: “This accolade is a testament to Faith’s dedication, intellect, and passion for scientific exploration, setting her apart as a shining example of excellence in the field.”
