Olivet College of Health Technology in Nasarawa has uncovered over 11 fake students using forged documents to access medical training facilities, prompting the school to call for a full investigation by security and regulatory agencies.

The management of Olivet College of Health Technology, Azuba, has uncovered a disturbing case of identity fraud involving over 11 individuals posing as students. These impostors were reportedly using the school’s forged letterheads to gain access to medical laboratory training facilities across Nasarawa State.
During a press conference in Lafia, the college’s proprietor, Dr. Abu Cletus, revealed the discovery and called on security agencies—including the Nigeria Police, Department of State Services (DSS), Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria, and the State Ministry of Health—to launch an urgent investigation.
“In Lafia, four individuals used fake letterheads with our department’s stamp and HOD’s signature—but our website was missing. These students were never registered with us,” said Dr. Cletus.
Similar incidents were also reported in:
- Akwanga – Where non-students were added to the list for laboratory training using falsified documents.
- Keffi – Seven unauthorized persons were listed alongside ten legitimate students, again using fake documents.
The management became aware after receiving complaints that students from their Medical Laboratory Technology Department were being redirected to a so-called Olivet College branch in Nasarawa Eggon, which Dr. Cletus confirmed does not exist. He emphasized that Olivet College operates solely in Azuba, and does not run any distance learning or satellite campuses.
“Anyone dealing with individuals claiming to be our representatives outside of Azuba does so at their own risk,” he warned. “All official school business is conducted through our administration office only.”
The incident has been formally reported to:
- Nasarawa State Police Command
- DSS
- Ministry of Health
- Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria
- Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria
