An 18-year-old final-year General Arts student at O’Reilly Senior High School was stabbed to death by a fellow student on September 3, shortly after completing an exam.
Reports suggest that the suspect had threatened the victim, Edward Borketey Sackey, with violence prior to the altercation, which escalated on the school premises.
According to a cousin of the deceased, who witnessed the incident, the stabbing occurred during a fight believed to be related to a dispute over wealth. She stated that she had reported the tension to some teachers, but no action was taken.
