Cursory: A 16-year-old brilliant boy, McKenzie Damprani has won the 2023 Young Debaters Competition in Ghana, earning a chance to represent his country in the UK.


McKenzie Damprani, a 16-year-old student from Chemu Senior High School, has made his country, Ghana, proud by winning the 2023 Young Debaters Competition held in Accra.
The competition saw young debaters from various senior high schools in the country showcase their oratory skills on the theme, “Relationship between Nations Cannot be Governments Alone.”
McKenzie emerged as the winner of the competition and will represent Ghana at the International Public Speaking Competition (IPSC) in the United Kingdom in May.
Speaking to YEN.com.gh, McKenzie expressed his excitement about winning the competition and pledged to do his best to make his school and country proud. He thanked his coaches for their guidance and support and encouraged his fellow students to pursue their passions and never give up on their dreams.
This young student’s impressive achievement is a testament to the bright future of Africa’s education system. It is inspiring to see young Africans excelling in their academic pursuits and making a positive impact in their communities.
