Peter University Secures NUC Approval for 6 New Degree Programmes.

Peter University has received official approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce six new undergraduate degree programmes.

​The implementation of these newly accredited courses will take effect from the upcoming 2026/2027 academic session, expanding the institution’s academic offerings and providing more diverse career paths for prospective students.

Approved New Programmes

The six newly accredited degree programmes span across the computing, medical sciences, and social sciences fields:

  • Data Science
  • Medical Laboratory Science
  • Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE)
  • Social Work
  • Public Administration
  • Psychology

​These programmes have undergone standard evaluation and carry full NUC backing, ensuring that the curricula meet national regulatory standards for tertiary education in Nigeria.

Application and Admission Details

Following the official clearance by the commission, applications for admission into these six courses have commenced immediately for the 2026/2027 academic session.
