Little Boy Smiles Home With N200k & 6-year Scholarship For Wining Tough Maths Competition

Cursory: Lasisi Ibrahim has won the SMATHS-Kids Interschool Competitive Math and Science Competition, earning N200,000 and a six-year tuition scholarship.

Lasisi Ibrahim, a student from Olive Crescent Scholars in Ogun State, emerged as the winner of the SMATHS-Kids Interschool Math and Science Competition.

The competition, organized by Apt Scholars Universal College in Otta, Ogun State, aims to recognize and celebrate the academic excellence of young students in mathematics and science.

It provides a platform for talented students to demonstrate their knowledge and skills, fostering healthy competition among participating schools.

Lasisi Ibrahim won the grand prize of N200,000, while his teacher, Mr. Abdullahi Kabir Oza-Ovehe, received a total prize of N100,000 in the teacher’s category.

Furthermore, Lasisi was awarded a scholarship that covers half of his tuition fees for the next six years, along with a prestigious plaque as a symbol of his outstanding achievement.

Mrs. Aminu-Ibraheem Mariam O., the Head of School, expressed her joy and pride in Lasisi Ibrahim’s accomplishments, as well as the achievements of the entire Olive Crescent Scholars community.

She highlighted the importance of nurturing a love for learning and encouraging students to pursue their passions. In her speech, she emphasized that the victory was well-deserved and not accidental, as the school has consistently excelled in various competitions.

She said, “The victory of Olive Crescent Scholars in this prestigious competition stands as a testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing and fostering excellence. The pupils, under the guidance of dedicated educators, have consistently displayed their remarkable aptitude for critical thinking and problem-solving.
