A Nigerian student schooling in Russia identified as Eluemunor Richard Okasia has drowned at a beach in Kaliningrad, Russia while trying to rescue a drowning lady. The sad incident reportedly took place on Saturday, July 17, 2021.


According to reports, Okasia, a student at a Marine University, got married barely a year ago and was with his wife at the beach when they spotted the lady drowning, then he rushed in to help. His wife was said to have begged him not to go into the water but he insisted.
According to an eyewitness, he was part of a group of four guys that tried to rescue the drowning lady. He got to the lady first and pull her out of the waters, other rescuers were then able to get the girl to the beach.
Unfortunately, the water current was too strong and he was carried deep into the sea and he eventually drown moments later.
