The university management announced that three students were suspended for one or two semesters, while three others were exonerated due to insufficient evidence of misconduct.
In a statement provided to LEADERSHIP, the Acting Director of the Directorate of Examinations, Admissions, and Records, Aminu Kurawa, confirmed that both undergraduate and postgraduate students were affected.
The statement noted, “The Senate, at its 413th meeting held on July 3, 2024, expelled 29 students, rusticated 3, and warned 15 others for involvement in examination misconduct. The decision was made in accordance with the General Examinations and Academic Regulations (GEAR) and the General Regulations Governing Postgraduate Studies (GRGPS).”
