A final-year student from O’Reilly Senior High School has been arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing his fellow student, Edward Borketey Sackey, following a heated argument that escalated into a fatal confrontation.
After news of the incident broke, a significant police presence was observed at the school, and the victim’s father has demanded answers from school authorities and called for justice. The victim was rushed to LEKMA hospital by other students but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Greater Accra Regional Director of the Ghana Education Service, Stephen Abamfo, has promised an investigation into the incident and assured the safety of other students.
Reports indicate the altercation stemmed from a dispute over wealth, with prior threats of violence made by the suspect against the deceased.
