A 17-year-old Thai student violently attacked his math teacher in class after losing two marks on a test for not showing his work, sparking outrage online.

A 17-year-old student at a private school in Uthai Thani, Thailand, physically assaulted his math teacher after receiving 18 out of 20 on a midterm exam.
According to viral CCTV footage, the student confronted his female teacher in class, questioning why he didn’t get a perfect score. The teacher explained that although his answers were correct, he failed to show the required working steps, which led to a deduction. She advised him to consult other teachers if he disagreed.
After doing so, the student returned and demanded a score increase. When the teacher refused, he became aggressive—kicking a desk and briefly leaving the room. Moments later, he came back and demanded an apology. When she declined, he launched into a violent attack, slapping, punching, and kicking her in front of more than 20 classmates.
The assault left the teacher with a swollen head, bruised eye, and inflamed ribs. She received medical attention and has reported the incident to the police.
The student has since been suspended and has expressed a desire to withdraw from the school.
