Nosirat Oluwabukola Dada graduated with a first-class degree in Botany from Lagos State University, earning a 4.59 CGPA and the award for Best Graduating Student, after overcoming early academic struggles and becoming a passionate climate advocate.

Nosirat Oluwabukola Dada, a determined Nigerian scholar, has graduated with first-class honours in Botany from Lagos State University (LASU), achieving an impressive 4.59 CGPA and emerging as the Best Graduating Student in her department for the 2023/2024 academic session.
In a heartfelt reflection shared on LinkedIn, Nosirat recounted a challenging academic start marked by struggles in primary school, where she often found herself behind her peers and repeating classes. Despite the odds, she held on to the belief that education was her path to a brighter future.
Her journey took a significant turn when she gained a scholarship to attend secondary school. The support sparked a renewed sense of purpose and academic focus. Though she originally dreamed of becoming a nurse, she was offered Botany at LASU — a course she initially had little interest in. However, with grit and determination, Nosirat embraced the field, developed a passion for it, and ultimately excelled.
Outside the classroom, Nosirat made her mark as an environmental advocate. She served as a climate ambassador, earned awards for her efforts, and represented Lagos State as a Youth Ambassador from 2022 to 2024.
Nosirat credited her success to the unwavering support of her parents, family, friends, lecturers, and mentors who stood by her throughout her academic journey.
