A tragic incident occurred in Texas, United States, where a 15-year-old student shot and injured a teacher before dying at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot, according to authorities.
The shooting happened at Hill Country College Preparatory High School in Comal County, near San Antonio. Officials confirmed that the injured teacher was rushed to a hospital, though her condition has not yet been disclosed.
Speaking on the incident, Comal County Sheriff Mark Reynolds stated that the student shot the teacher and then turned the weapon on himself. Law enforcement quickly secured the situation.
Following the attack, the school was placed on lockdown, and students were safely evacuated and reunited with their parents at a nearby location.
Authorities have not yet released further details about what led to the incident, while investigations continue.
