“Tough times to be a parent,” Reactions as Students Sing ‘I need Igbo and Shayo’ at their graduation ceremony

A short video showing a group of some secondary school students singing at their graduation ceremony has gone viral on social media.

The graduating students of a yet-to-be-identified school have left parents and their teachers speechless as they sang DJ Neptune and Grammy-winner, Burna Boy’s hit song ”Igbo and Shayo’

As it could be seen in the video (watch below), the Boys and girls who were in their school uniforms, performed the song so energetically that it reverberated throughout the hall.

A Twitter user @Mahdi06085312, who claims to be a student of the school, shared a clip of the graduating students.

He wrote; ”Burna boy see wetin you cause for my graduation 😂 #BurnaBoy @burnaboy”.

@SeptianMR7: “I Love Burna’s music… But as teenagers I honestly think this is not the kind of song they should be rendering in their High School Graduation.”

@AdedapoAfolabiA: “Some mothers in there will be like… When we get home, you will tell me what you need again 🤣😂😅.”

@Kelvin_Maggie: “I thought it was church service but I had to go back and read the caption, wait what will the parents be thinking. Principal have alot of questions to answer plus music teacher.”

@Sirheedart1: “I could remember when I sang “it wasn’t me” in my mum’s presence, the scolding I received was more than my offence…aye ti baje oh! At this my big age I do not sing some songs in her presence…”

@Peckdayyveed: “Sas the parents dey look say see children wey dem spend millions on dey scream dey need Igbo and shayo😂😂”
