A Ghanaian teacher, Nathaniel Akomaning Brewu, has captured the hearts of many on social media after a heartfelt video of him serving jollof rice and chicken to his students went viral.
The touching video, shared on TikTok by @sireffort, highlights the teacher’s selfless gesture, as he uses his own funds to prepare a special meal for his students.
In the clip, the students are visibly excited and overjoyed as their teacher serves them the delicious jollof rice and chicken, an unexpected and delightful treat.
Brewu explained that his motivation behind this act was to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for all his students, particularly one physically challenged student who struggled to fit in with his peers.
He shared his thoughts, saying, “I wanted to help my students, especially the one who is physically challenged, as I noticed his interaction with the others in class was not encouraging. I made a conscious effort to bring him closer and provide individual support, hoping this would foster a more inclusive and loving environment, encouraging the other students to develop a positive relationship with him.”
