UNICAL’s first female SUG president, Blessing Alims, awarded N1 million to Moses Udofia, the university’s best-graduating student with a 4.92 CGPA, to promote academic excellence and encourage dedication among students.

The first female Student Union Government (SUG) president of the University of Calabar, Blessing Alims, has awarded N1 million to Moses Udofia, the institution’s overall best-graduating student from the Accounting Department, who earned a CGPA of 4.92/5.00.

Alims stated that the award, given during UNICAL’s 50th anniversary and 37th convocation, aligns with her administration’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and encouraging students to stay dedicated to their studies. She also acknowledged the Cross River State Commissioner of Finance, Dr. Michael Odere, for contributing an additional N500,000 in recognition of Udofia’s outstanding achievement.
