The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) in Kwara State has expelled Olanrewaju AbdulKadir, a first-year student, for allegedly demanding ransom from the parents of a missing classmate.


The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) in Kwara State has expelled Olanrewaju AbdulKadir, a first-year student, for allegedly demanding ransom from the parents of a missing classmate.
The expulsion was detailed in the university’s weekly bulletin, issued by Kunle Akogun, the Director of Corporate Affairs, on Monday, June 3, 2024.
AbdulKadir, whose matriculation number is 22/52HL004, was a student in the Department of Information Technology within the Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences.
Additionally, the university has rusticated Segun Michael Oyewole, a fourth-year student, for assaulting a female student. Oyewole, who is from the Department of Counsellor Education in the Faculty of Education, has been suspended for one academic session.
