Top University Uses Ekweremadu, Portable’s Cases as Exam Questions

Cursory: One of the most sought-after universities in Nigeria has surprised people after, it was revealed that they featured two real life popular cases in their exams. The University featured the case of organ trafficking by a former deputy senate president and that of a controversial popular singer in the Harmattan Semester Examination for the 2021/2022 session. See the full story below.

Former deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu and popular singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, were both listed in the test by the University of Ilorin, or UNILORIN, in Kwara State.

According to the question paper that Vanguard acquired on Thursday, the Department of Criminology and Security Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences used the instances of Ekweremadu and Portable in the Harmattan Semester Examination for the 2021/2022 session.

The Nigerian lawmaker received a nine years and eight months in prison sentence last week for participating in an organ harvesting scheme in the UK.

In the exam for the course CSS 311, the examiner required students to list the different sorts of confessions made by victims, as well as the predisposing elements that led to the confession and characteristics of the UK police that helped in the lawmaker’s arrest and prosecution.

The lecturer in charge of the course also asked questions about Portable’s case, who was arrested by the police in March.

The examiner required the students to address four different types of criminal profiling, the methods for gathering individual traits, and the connections between the offender’s personality and his profession in light of the singer’s tragedy.
