University of Ibadan Student Delayed by Illness Finally Bags Engineering Degree

A University of Ibadan engineering student, Olusola Adekunle Joshua, finally graduated after illness delayed his studies, celebrating the milestone by thanking his coursemates for standing by him throughout his difficult journey.

A Nigerian student whose education was delayed by illness has finally graduated from the University of Ibadan, sparking celebration and admiration online.

Olusola Adekunle Joshua, a student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, recently completed his studies after health challenges forced him to extend his time in school while his classmates graduated earlier. Sharing the milestone on social media, Joshua expressed deep gratitude to his coursemates for standing by him throughout his recovery.

He revealed that although watching his peers graduate before him was painful, their constant prayers, encouragement, visits, and messages gave him strength and motivation to keep going. According to him, their support made him feel loved rather than left behind and helped him overcome one of the toughest periods of his life.

Joshua described his graduation as a victory not just for himself, but for everyone who supported him, stressing that while he was delayed, he was never defeated. He thanked his classmates for treating him like family and prayed for blessings upon them.

His story quickly went viral, drawing congratulatory messages from Nigerians who praised his resilience and determination. Many social media users described his achievement as inspiring and proof that setbacks do not define the end of one’s journey.
