UTME Star Student Celebrates Tutor After Scoring 351 in JAMB

A medical student from the University of Jos who scored 351 in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board exam, including 98 in Physics, celebrated his tutor for his guidance and inspiring perseverance.

A medical student of the University of Jos has publicly appreciated his physics tutor for playing a key role in his outstanding performance in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The student, Olaosebikan Olamiposi Elijah, revealed that he scored an impressive 351 in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exam, including a remarkable 98 in Physics—an achievement he credited to the guidance of his tutor, Dr Isco.

Marking his tutor’s birthday on April 13, Elijah shared a photo they took together when his result was celebrated and praised him for his dedication. He also disclosed that the tutor was rewarded with ₦100,000 by his tutorial centre for producing the highest scorer.

Elijah further recounted his tutor’s inspiring journey, noting that Dr Isco spent eight years after secondary school repeatedly attempting to gain admission to study medicine and surgery—his dream course. Despite the setbacks, he remained determined and eventually achieved his goal, a story that deeply motivated Elijah.

In a related update, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board recently announced adjustments to its exam timetable, urging candidates to carefully review the new schedule to avoid confusion and ensure timely arrival at their centres.
