A lecturer at Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) was left overwhelmed with emotions after his students organized a heartfelt surprise for his birthday.
In a touching video shared by TikTok user @yinks_artistry, the students paused their lecture to present him with thoughtful gifts, including food provisions and other meaningful items.
The emotional lecturer, deeply moved by their kindness, struggled to hold back tears as the students cheered and celebrated him, making his birthday a truly unforgettable moment.
The video has since gone viral, with many social media users praising the students for their generosity and the strong bond they share with their lecturer.
A former student, Adejimi Ayomide, reminisced about the lecturer’s kindness, sharing, “I remember when I had my baby in 2021 during my final year. He would take my son from my husband, carry him, and play with him—both he and Mrs. Akinbo. Wherever you go in life, the mercy of God will be with you.”
Another user, Anuoluwa, expressed gratitude, saying, “Mr. Michael made my education at Yabatech easy and stress-free. Thank you for being an amazing man and the best lecturer for me.”
