A Nigerian student has shared how he dropped out of 300 level due to poor performance and loss of interest in Industrial Physics despite parental pressure, and then restarted his university education afresh at Lead City University, advising others to leave courses they cannot cope with.

A young Nigerian man has shared how he made the bold decision to abandon his studies in 300 level and start afresh at Lead City University after struggling with his previous course.
According to him, he had lost interest in Industrial Physics early in his academic journey but continued due to pressure and encouragement from his parents, despite consistently poor grades. Over time, his GPA kept dropping, leaving him discouraged and convinced he would not graduate successfully in the program.
He revealed that he repeatedly informed his parents about his desire to change schools and restart, but they encouraged him to keep going. Eventually, just before his exams, he decided to quit, saved money, and applied for admission into a new course at Lead City University, Ibadan.
The student shared his experience on TikTok, advising others not to stay stuck in courses they cannot cope with, saying it is better to restart early than struggle endlessly. He also encouraged students to plan carefully, especially if they might face financial or parental resistance.
His story sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising his courage to start over while others advised caution and commitment in whatever course of study is chosen.
The case has since generated wider discussion about academic pressure, parental expectations, and the importance of choosing the right course from the beginning.
