18-Year-Old Javon Graham Earns Associate Degree in Engineering Before Graduating High School, Gains Admission to Northeastern University

18-year-old Javon Graham earned an Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering before finishing high school and has been accepted into Northeastern University to study Pharmacy, crediting his success to a dual enrollment program and strong personal determination.

Javon Graham, an 18-year-old student from Mattapan, Massachusetts, has achieved a major academic milestone by earning an Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology from Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology (BFIT) before completing his high school education at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School.

He is among the first Boston Public School students to earn a college degree ahead of high school graduation, thanks to the RoxMAPP dual enrollment program, which offers students in grades 10–12 early college access, free college courses, and resources such as textbooks and career advising.

Javon pursued college-level coursework aligned with his interest in healthcare and engineering, completing it with determination and excellence. His efforts paid off when he was accepted into Northeastern University’s Foundation Year program, where he is now studying Pharmacy at the Bouvé College of Health Sciences.

Reflecting on his journey, Javon emphasized the importance of setting ambitious goals and praised Madison Park High School for expanding his view of what’s possible. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to begin his college journey early, which gave him a solid foundation for his future in healthcare.
