A 19-year-old Nigerian scholar, Aisha Dauda, has achieved an outstanding academic feat by emerging as the best graduating student of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Nigeria. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with an impressive Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.87.
Celebrating her success, Aisha took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her inspiring academic journey, highlighting the numerous awards she received in recognition of her excellence.
She revealed that she wrote her first Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) at just 14 years old and gained admission into OOU at 15. With determination and hard work, she maintained top academic performance throughout her university years, graduating with exceptional honors at the age of 19.
Aisha’s outstanding performance earned her several prestigious awards, including:
• Overall Best Graduating Student (BGS) of the 2023/2024 Academic Session
• Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Social Sciences
• Best Graduating Student of the Department of Economics
Beyond academics, Aisha also demonstrated leadership and versatility. She was the first runner-up in the Inter-Faculty Debate Competition (September 2023) and a recipient of the Gbemiga Abiodun Education Program Scholarship (2023-2024).
