JAMB has revealed that the 2022 UTME registration process will be cashless.

This was disclosed in the board’s weekly bulletin.
According to the board, this is in a bid to put a stop to extortion.
“It is only the process of payment that has changed; not the cost.
“With the new policy, candidates simply walk into any registration centre and register without paying any fee.” The bulletin reads.
JAMB also disclosed that the board will take over the collection of the N700 registration fee (approved fee charged by CBT centres for assisting candidates with registration) on behalf of the CBT centres.
The bulletin stated that the board would collect the approved N700 registration fee at the point of registration and remit the same to the various approved centres.
This the board said will help to prevent the extortion of candidates as some of the CBT centres indulge in massive extortion of candidates during the exercise.
