22-Year-Old Nigerian Woman Earns Law Degree and Professional Certificate, Celebrates Achievements

Victoria Anorue, a 22-year-old Nigerian, celebrated completing both a Bachelor of Law degree and a professional arbitration certificate, achieving personal fulfillment and making a meaningful impact in Intellectual Property Law during her studies.

Victoria Anorue, a 22-year-old Nigerian woman, recently celebrated earning both her Bachelor of Law degree from Afe Babalola University and a professional certificate from the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitration.

In a LinkedIn post, Victoria shared that when she began her studies in 2019, her only goal was to graduate feeling fulfilled despite any challenges.

Initially, Victoria had limited interest in law and faced doubts about her abilities, but she eventually found a passion for Intellectual Property (IP) Law, joining the ABUAD Intellectual Property Club and serving as President in her final year.

She also moderated the “IP and Fashion” panel at the Nigerian Intellectual Property Club’s first convention in 2023 and held a position on the ABUAD Law Students’ Society Electoral Commission for four years, making a meaningful impact on her university community.

Although she aspired to graduate with First Class Honours and win the Chijioke Ukomadu Award for Best Student in IP Law, Victoria felt deeply fulfilled by her accomplishments, achieving a Second Class Upper Division with a CGPA of 4.20/5.00.

Reflecting on her academic journey, Victoria expressed gratitude for her friends, family, mentors, and lecturers, especially one who fostered her passion for IP Law.

Looking ahead, Victoria feels proud of her growth and anticipates applying her university experiences to new opportunities in her career.
