Hailing from Washington D.C., Tiffany developed a passion for math and science early on in her life, as per GPC. She earned a full scholarship to the Georgia Institute of Technology for her undergraduate studies, majoring in aerospace engineering and minoring in French.

During her upbringing, Tiffany participated in engineering-focused summer camps and avidly read literature on astrophysics and engineering. Additionally, she conducted hands-on experiments at home, including constructing a hovercraft using a leaf blower and plywood board.

“When I was 11 I asked for a circuit board for Christmas because I thought it was cool that this board could play such a huge role in how something works,” she said.

During her time at Georgia Tech, Tiffany participated in Boeing’s Engineering Accelerated Hiring Initiative in 2014, which facilitated her engagement in multiple internships with the company, including roles as a structural analyst and product design intern, as indicated on her LinkedIn profile.

Additionally, she actively engaged in diverse extracurricular pursuits, including membership in organizations like the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), the African American Student Union (AASU), and the Georgia Tech Student Ambassadors.

Tiffany was actively involved in multiple internships and cooperative education programs at renowned organizations such as NASA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman.

She notably facilitated a visit by former President Barack Obama to the campus, during which he addressed students on the topic of affordable education.

Tiffany recounted writing a letter to President Obama concerning college affordability, to which he responded by affirming his commitment to ensuring access to education for all Americans “including future rocket scientists like you, can achieve their dreams without worrying about their loans,” President Obama said.

While Tiffany as at March 2024 works as the Senior Technical Program Manager at Amazon, she has served as a spacecraft engineer in Boeing’s Mission Operations and Engineering group in Washington D.C.

She earned recognition as the 2018 Technology Rising Star for the Women of Color in STEM conference, an accolade reserved for young women who are making significant contributions to shaping technology’s future within their first 1 to 22 years in the workforce.

Additionally, in 2021, she bagged her Masters Degree in Computer Science with a focus in Artificial Intelligence.

With her master’s degree, she aims to delve into artificial intelligence and machine learning applications tailored for upcoming space exploration missions.

Tiffany is deeply committed to advocating for the advancement of young women, particularly Black women, in STEM fields, encouraging them to pursue their aspirations.

“I want more women and minorities to join this field, so I hope that sharing my story will make it easier for people that look like me in the future so that they can do it too,” she said.

She has delivered speeches at a variety of events and institutions, including Girls Who Code, HowGirlsCode, Dream Talk Panel, Women of Color in STEM Conference, and the BET Black Girls Rock Awards Show.

Tiffany established the AstroGirls Scholarship Fund with the aim of sending young girls to space camp. She holds the belief that representation is crucial and that Black women have the potential to accomplish anything they aspire to achieve.
