The Zamfara State Police Command has rescued four students of Day Secondary School, Birnin Yero, in the Shinkafi Local Government Area in the state, who were kidnapped while taking the West African Senior School Certificate Exam (WASSCE).


Along with the students, 20 other abducted victims were rescued.
“The victims have spent 60 days in captivity before their rescue.
“They will be medically checked, undergo police debriefing before we hand them over to the state government to be reunited with their families.”
The state Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara, commended the state police command for fighting bandits in the state.
