BIC has partnered with the Ogun State Ministry of Education to donate 50,000 writing tools to students, as part of its broader commitment to improve education for 250 million students by 2025.

BIC, a global leader in stationery, has partnered with the Ogun State Ministry of Education to donate 50,000 writing tools to students as part of its commitment to improve learning conditions for 250 million students by 2025.
Adeyemi Ojo, BIC Nigeria’s business development lead, emphasized the importance of providing necessary resources for student success and expressed the company’s pleasure in collaborating with Ogun State to achieve this mission.
Ogun State’s Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Abayomi Arigbabu, praised BIC’s donation and highlighted the importance of partnerships between government and corporate entities in advancing education. He stressed that the government alone cannot fully fund education, and collaborations with companies like BIC are crucial to achieving educational goals.
The event also showcased the achievements of Ogun State students, including Sarah Adelakun, who placed second in the National Anchor Competition, and Ayodele Babalola, who designed a prototype ATM after participating in a state-sponsored technology training program.
This initiative is part of BIC’s broader efforts in the region, which include similar collaborations with the Lagos State Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service to provide writing tools and support educational development.
BIC’s commitment to education extends beyond donations, involving partnerships with teachers, classroom creativity, educator development, and fostering entrepreneurial skills among students. This aligns with BIC’s sustainable development program, “Writing the Future Together,” which aims to create holistic educational support in Africa and Nigeria specifically.
BIC, known for its high-quality, affordable products, has been a global leader in stationery, lighters, and shavers for over 75 years, and is one of the most recognized brands worldwide.
