At 94, Pa Adedapo Idowu has registered for the 2025 JAMB to pursue a Political Science degree at the University of Ibadan, proving that education has no age limit.
Pa Adedapo Idowu, a 94-year-old Nigerian man, has proven that age is no barrier to education by successfully registering for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with the goal of earning a Political Science degree at the University of Ibadan (UI).
Despite decades of uncertainty about whether the JAMB system would accommodate someone his age, Pa Idowu has finally taken the bold step toward fulfilling his long-held dream of attaining a tertiary education.
His story was recently featured in JAMB’s weekly bulletin, where he expressed his admiration for the smooth registration process and how the system treated him like any other candidate, reinforcing the principle that education is for everyone, regardless of age.
Encouraging younger generations, Pa Idowu advised students to embrace professionalism, dedication, and contentment in their academic journeys, emphasizing that it’s never too late to pursue one’s dreams.
