CURSORY: Young Lady shares an inspiring story of how her consistency helped her win an essay competition.


24-year-old, Awe Similoluwa, a Postgraduate (PG) student has shared her success story after she won an award of One million naira (N1,000,000) from the JKF Annual Essay Writing Competition.
Similoluwa who emerged as the overall best narrated that this is the first time she is participating in the competition as a PG student.
“I graduated last year, this is my first opportunity to participate in the post-graduate category and I emerged the overall best, ” she said.
According to her, she had participated 3 times in her undergraduate days but couldn’t even make it to the top 10.
“This is my 4th attempt at the essay, I wrote it 3 times at my undergraduate days, I didn’t make top 10 at any of those attempts in the undergraduate categories.”
While sharing her story, she said that she hoped to inspire people to work on their dreams and not give up, even if they are not getting their desired results yet.
“This I hope will inspire many other people to be consistent, keep growing and never give up even when they are not getting approvals”
