University of Benin, UNIBEN Disclaimer To The General Public.


This is to alert members of the University of Benin community and the public that one Mr Ogochukwu Isioma (a k a Campus Gist), engaged on contract in September, 2022, as Media Officer in the Public Relations Unit of the Vice Chancellor’s Office is no longer a contract staff of the University.
The said Mr Isioma resigned precipitously when he was confronted with allegations of fraud including unlawful receipt of the sum of sixty thousand naira (#60,000) from a newly admitted student in the name of the University and Office of the Vice Chancellor.
While he was Media Officer, Mr Isioma was never assigned nor authorised to transact any business on behalf of the University nor the Institution’s ranking officers. It is even more so now. Therefore, anyone who transacts any business relating to the University of Benin with him does so at his or her own risk.
