Umar Suleiman College Of Education, Gashua, Lecturer Dies From Heart Attack Week After Bagging a PhD.


A lecturer with the Umar Suleiman College of Education Gashua, Yobe State, Dr. Barde Luka Yelwa has been confirmed dead two weeks after he celebrated bagging a Ph.D.
The Department of Biology lecturer died on Thursday, April 20, 2023, in a hospital where he was caring for his sick wife who was on admission. He was said to have suffered a heart attack which eventually led to his death. Two days after his death, precisely on Saturday, April 22, his wife, Godiya also passed away on her sick bed.
The couple left two children behind, a 5-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy. They will be buried today, Monday, April 24, 2023, and the final interment will take place at Dagare Village, 10 Km along Bauchi-Jos Road.
