WAEC Result of UNN Professor’s Son, Who Was Disappointed with His Scores, Goes Viral

The WAEC result of Jisiechimike Chigor Chimdundu, a UNN professor’s son, went viral after he expressed disappointment with his scores, despite achieving multiple distinctions.

The WAEC results of Jisiechimike Chigor Chimdundu, son of a University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) professor, have gained attention online after he expressed disappointment in his 2024 West African Examinations Council (WAEC) performance, despite his excellent scores.

Although Jisiechimike earned multiple A’s across various subjects, he felt let down as his results fell short of the exceptional standards he had set for himself.

The 15-year-old, who previously won a N500,000 prize in an English language competition in July, aimed for straight distinctions in all his WAEC subjects.

However, while his performance was commendable—securing distinctions in Biology and Chemistry and A1 grades in Further Mathematics and General Mathematics—he received a B3 in Physics, which left him disheartened.

Netizens’ Reactions:

@StellaUchee3003: “He has an outstanding result. He should shake off the disappointment, focus, and keep moving forward. The future is bright.”

@winexviv: “I agree. It shows his dedication to excellence!”

@POTFRNG: “If my son got a result like this, I’d make sure he leaves the country by any means necessary. If you saw my own result, you’d understand why my dad nearly fainted.”

@AdenikeAwe1: “Please keep encouraging him.”

@heyCheesom: “His dad taught me at UNN’s Microbiology Department. Like father, like son. Prof Chigor is brilliant! I wish his son all the best.”

@fun4mure: “This is a solid result.”

@Kene_Nna: “That Physics grade must have stung the most.”
