A 17-year-old student, Mercy Dauda, from Nasarawa State, has been declared missing after attending a Young Catholic Students convention, with her family deeply concerned and urging the public for help in locating her.


A 17-year-old student, Mercy Dauda, from the Federal Government Science and Technical College (FGSTC) in Doma, Nasarawa State, has been declared missing after attending a Young Catholic Students (YCS) convention at Madonna Girls College in Lafia LGA.
Mercy was last seen on Thursday afternoon when a classmate accompanied her to board a tricycle at Tudun Kauri junction, intending to travel to Sabon Pegi in Lafia.
Her father, Mr. Philip Dauda, expressed deep concern, noting that Mercy, a disciplined and church-going girl, had never stayed away from home without informing her family.
The family has reported her disappearance to the police and is praying for her safe return, urging anyone with information to contact them or notify the nearest police station.
However, the police spokesman, DSP Ramhan Nansel, stated that the police command has not yet received any report on the incident.
