An intelligent Nigerian law graduate, Chukwuocha Wisdom Adimchinobi has broken the Faculty of Law’s record at Madonna University with a 4.77 CGPA, crediting his success to mentorship, preparation, faith, and balancing academics with leadership roles.

Chukwuocha Wisdom Adimchinobi has made history at Madonna University, Nigeria, by graduating from the Faculty of Law with a record-breaking CGPA of 4.77—the highest in the faculty’s history.
In an exclusive interview, Chukwuocha shared insights into his journey of academic excellence, crediting his success to mentorship, preparation, faith, and an unyielding passion for learning.
In his interview, Chukwuocha emphasized the value of mentorship and strategic preparation. “Your mentor is the picture of your future,” he said, adding that success requires discipline. “Proper preparation prevents poor performance—what I call the 5 P’s.”

He advised students to stay committed even when facing challenges. “Always study to show yourself approved. When the going gets tough, only the tough get going. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Above all, put God first—work as if everything depends on your effort and pray as if everything depends on prayer.”
Chukwuocha’s pursuit of excellence began long before his time at the university. As Senior Prefect in secondary school, he also graduated as the valedictorian and best student of the 2019 set. “The passion for success has always been there,” he noted. From the start of his university journey, he set his sights on earning First Class Honours and achieved it despite managing multiple leadership roles.

He described his remarkable academic record, which includes 52 A’s, 8 B’s, and 4 C’s, with a perfect 5.0 GPA across four semesters, including his final year. “Reading isn’t just a hobby for me—it’s my passion,” Chukwuocha said. “I studied for at least three hours daily, even during vacations, focusing on notes, textbooks, law reports, and statutory provisions.”
Chukwuocha credited his parents, both of whom are lawyers, as a source of motivation. “Their example inspired me to follow this path,” he explained.
While still in school, Chukwuocha also earned a professional qualification as an Associate Chartered Arbitrator (ACArb) by passing the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators’ exam. “This was one of my proudest achievements, especially while leading the faculty as LAWSAN president,” he shared.

Reflecting on his success, Chukwuocha acknowledged the challenges along the way but credited divine grace for his achievements. “God’s faithfulness has been paramount. Despite obstacles, I stayed committed and trusted the process.”
His historic achievement serves as an inspiration for students across the country, demonstrating that with determination, preparation, and faith, even the most ambitious goals can be reached.
