Abiodun Regina Nwagbo, an agricultural science teacher from Oyo State, won the 2024 Maltina Teacher of the Year Award, receiving praise from Education Commissioner Prof. Salihu Adelabu for her dedication and role model status.


Oyo State’s Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Salihu Adelabu, praised the exceptional achievements of Abiodun Regina Nwagbo, an agricultural science teacher at Mother’s Joy College, Ibadan, who won the 2024 Maltina Teacher of the Year (MToY) Award.
Prof. Adelabu, in a meeting held at his office in Agodi, Ibadan, commended Nwagbo as a dedicated, resourceful, and exemplary teacher, describing her as a role model whose commitment and integrity have brought recognition to both herself and Oyo State.
Expressing gratitude, Nwagbo thanked the Oyo state government, the Education Ministry, her school, and Nigerian Breweries Plc for their support and honor, emphasizing her appreciation for representing the state at the contest.
The MToY Award, an initiative of Nigerian Breweries Plc, is held annually to recognize outstanding teachers across Nigeria.
