The Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa expelled 100 students for exam malpractices and warned new intakes against academic dishonesty and social vices during its 41st matriculation ceremony.

The Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, has expelled 100 students for their alleged involvement in examination malpractices during the 2023/2024 academic session.
The announcement was made by the Acting Rector, Dr. Hauwa Muhammad, during the institution’s 41st matriculation ceremony held over the weekend.
The event, which took place in Nasarawa Local Government Area, welcomed approximately 15,000 newly admitted students for the 2024/2025 academic session. These students enrolled in National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and Part-Time programs.
Dr. Muhammad urged the new students to steer clear of examination malpractices, using the expulsion of their predecessors as a cautionary example. “Let the experience of the expelled students serve as a lesson to all. This institution has zero tolerance for any form of academic dishonesty,” she emphasized.
She also encouraged students to avoid social vices such as drug abuse, indecent dressing, and cultism, while fostering a culture of peaceful coexistence on campus.
